Thank you 2016, Hello 2017!

Happy New Year to everyone!

This is my first post of the year and hopefully more to come. I’ve been lazy to update my blog in 2016 so hopefully the year 2017 is a good one for my blog.

So first off, I’m sharing a snippet of the video I took of the Sydney’s Fireworks 2017 from the vantage point: Carradah Park, Waverton.

In addition, Catholics also celebrate the Solemnity of Mary as Mother of God. With that, we go to Church and hear mass, and be thankful and grateful for the things we’ve achieved in 2016 and hope for the best for 2017. We are reminded of God’s love through Mary. Her traits as a mother, her obedience and her love for the Lord.

Let me share you a note that the priest shared during his homily:

FALL IN LOVE

Nothing is more practical than finding God,
than falling in Love in a quite absolute, final way.

What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.

It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read,
whom you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in Love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.

– Pedro Arupe SJ

May we all become our better selves this new year. One step at a time and we can achieve it!

Let’s do this, 2017!
