As part of our tradition, Andrew and I agreed that we’ll try a new restaurant every time we go out for a date. As much as possible, we try to find restaurants with budget price menu. However sometimes though, we splurge a bit just for the experience.

This January 2011, we tried the Peri Peri Charcoal Chicken in SM Megamall. I think this was a new restaurant and was opened just last year I think. Sorry I don’t know the history. ^_^

January 2011: Peri Peri Charcoal Chicken

We got the Mozzarella Sticks, Ceasar Salad and of course their Chicken. I chose Lemon and Garlic sauce for our chicken.

The mozzarella sticks are great.. best to eat when served hot.. however, they have thick sticks that made us full at the start of our meal. So we left 3 sticks then ate our salad. When we ate the sticks again, it’s not as good as it tasted when hot.

The ceasar salad is also nice and I like the flakes instead of croutons. I’m not a fan of croutons that’s why. 🙂

And finally, the grilled chicken… and the judgment is.. it tastes okay for me. It’s not really the superb type of chicken.. it tastes good but not that outstanding for me. I’d still choose El Pollo Loco over Peri Peri. ^_^

It was a nice meal though.. til our next food trip!
