I had the privilege to see the advanced screening of this movie through Nuffnang Australia. I’ve been an active member of Nuffnang Philippines and hopefully I can do the same thing here. However, the main office is located in Melbourne so most of the events are held in that state. Only few events like this one is held in Sydney. I do hope in time they will have more events here.

Anyway, I went to Event Cinema, George Street in the CBD with my cousin Grace who already read the book. I remembered her crying while reading this book so it got me intrigued. She was so excited when I told her that I got tickets to the movie and we’ll see it a week before the official release date in Australia. Because of this, we were asked to surrender all our bags to make sure that no cameras or phones or any media device are brought inside the cinema. There were a number of security staff inside.

Well, sine I don’t want to spoil anyone. I will just say my general reaction about the movie. I haven’t read the book but made me want to read it after watching this film. I got teary eyed most of the time whenever the characters cry. Hahaha! I reckon everybody if not most shed a tear while watching. There came a time where you can hear everyone sob. I really think that the film was touching, inspiring and well played. Such a good movie! I would want to own a dvd when they get to release one!

So make sure you bring some tissues with you if you know you’re a cry baby. You’ll need it badly. Hahaha!
