I am no bookworm. I don’t like to read books. And I somehow hate myself for not being one. My vocabulary is not that wide and my english is not that good. I believe reading will help me improve myself in speaking and writing in english. (This is what I dreaded when I took my IELTS exam! hahaha!)
Anyway, there’s always a chance to redeem oneself. So starting this year, I will try my best to read at least one book per month. I know I’m a starter and I might break my word but I’ll try my very best.
To start with the new discipline of mine, my first book was Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin (273 pages). It was recommended by my God-sister Gracie, so I read it. Actually, she gave it to me a month ago and it’s only last weekend that I started reading it. Hahaha! See my struggle?!
Anyway, in 3 days I finished it. Well, I had the luxury of time to read it that’s why I finished it at once. I’m not sure when I start to work on a full-time job if I can still read even half of a book. Hehe!
This was a good book! About moving on and seeing what is life after death. It was a touching story that can make you smile and even cry as you read it. As you finish the story, you’ll have the feeling of making your life better and doing the best you can to have a full life.
Have you read this book?
