Have you watched this film already? I was surprised to see Heath Ledger perform here. I thought that his last movie was Batman being the Joker. I looked for reviews and read that he died halfway through the film that’s why Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Collin Farrell took his place when Heath is inside the Imaginarium.
The movie’s effects are not so nice. At first it’s not that interesting, but if you continue watching it you’ll be fine with it I guess. But if you are looking for action, well sorry to disappoint you but you won’t be seeing a lot of fight scenes here.
Basically, the lesson of the story? You get to choose what you want it your life. To be in the bad side just to satisfy your earthly needs or you’re on the good side where it seems to be the hard way to go through but in the end you’ll experience true joy and happiness. The story is somewhat like that. They were betting on who will get the first 5 souls. If you come to think of it and relate it to everyday life, I might say most of the people will be choosing the wrong path. Only few will realize that even if it’s not the easy way out, you’ll feel satisfied after that.
At the end of the film, you’ll get to realize what kind of life are you living right now. It’s a good reflection to think of especially this season of Lent.
I don’t know if this will be shown in the Philippines. Oh well, anyways that’s it for now. 🙂
