It’s my time to look back and see what had happened in the year 2012. This will be a long one so bare with me…

Let’s start off with something unusual for me but fortunately made me feel more wonderful about myself. It’s none other than, Beauty! Hahaha!

I hate to brag about it but I really am flattered with praises here and there without even me knowing. (shucks ang yabang! Sorry naman, minsan lang.. hehe!) I owe it all to beauty bloggers and cosmetics as well. This year, I’ve challenged myself to do something out of my comfort zone. I’ve always been on the safe side with a lot of side comments at the back of my mind. I’ve never had the courage up until the year 2012. I learned thru my friend Elaine that the eyebrows are the most important part of the face. Although I’m gifted with a good shaped brows, I wanted to learn how to enhance it. I went to Browhaus since they’re the expert on this. It was my first and last that year. (Ang mahal eh! haha!) Luckily, the one who groomed my brows also taught me how to enhance it. From that day onwards, I practiced from time to time until I’m comfortable applying brow pencils or powders.

Starting with the brows, I then continued exploring beauty products and hair products as well. Another thing that I wanted to do all my life is to color my hair. Without any hesitations, I bought a Bubble Color from Etude House and colored my hair with Natural Brown! I became a foreigner at an instant! =)) The next thing to do is to curl my hair. I have a medium to long straight hair since gradeschool and wanted to try something new. After coloring my hair, a cold perm treatment which could have been a digital perm was done. And then after that, it’s my moment to shine! Wahahaha! I got a lot of compliments with my curls plus my tinted hair. So I have to maintain it by taking care of my skin. So my search for the perfect skin care was on. I went back to basics, Cetaphil face cleanser and Pond’s skin care.  I was also addicted to BB Creams and bought a LOT of BB Creams in different brands when I went to Korea. Next big thing was a set of Charm Travel Pro brushes plus a retractable Flat Top brush. If you’re a makeup guru, you’ll agree that you have to have the best tools to achieve a great look, right? I’m a newbie but I want to have the best tools.

So with beauty products left and right, vanity and all, I went to 3 photoshoots namely Chrome, Nestle and Gyuma Fragrances! Hahaha! I just want to have great pictures of myself. Thank you for all who supported my insanity and was willing to work with me during those times.

Another remarkable thing and very much thankful for are Blogger Events. I don’t consider myself as an influential blogger but I’m happy that I’m able to help brands promote their products. The following are the events with the brands/companies I worked with: Pond’s, Tokyo Tokyo, Block & White, Dove HairSoapUnderarm Care, Rexona, Benetton Fragrance: Let’s Move Let’s Love, Staycation at Bellevue Manila, BGC Hop ON Hop OFF bus tour, Maggi, Kotex x Love Bayo, Food Trip at Marquee Mall, KFC Krushers and Mac&Cheese, Paire Cocktails & Pastries, The New Glorietta and was a partner blogger for Ayala Malls.

Thank you very much for inviting me even if my posts are delayed. It is without a doubt 3x more than the events I went to last 2011. With this, I was able to rank at an average at Top 100 in TopBlogs Philippines! Woohoo! I’m so excited this year. I hope I can work with great brands before I fly away to the Land Down Under.

On the sweet and lighter side, 2012 is said to be the Year of the Dragon. Well it is still as of today up until the Chinese New Year which is normally on February right? Anyway, they say that it’s the lucky year to be married and have children. Little did I know, I’ve got a LOT of friends who got married, had babies and got engaged during the Year of the Dragon. I’ve been lucky to have witnessed the union of these couples:
Jun & Jeng Cortes, JM & JJ Santos, Gerald & Badeth Nicdao, Ransel & Laarni Roque, Albet & Diane Buddahim, Dhen & Rheena Panser, Rex & Arlene Tenorio, Franz & Vini Manalang (wasn’t able to come due to project deadline. boo!), Dave & Ching Padilla. And my friends who got engaged were college friends Darwin & Kim, JZ & Elaine and FTSP colleague Third & Reji!

Congratulations and Best Wishes to all of you. May you start the year 2013 with Love and Faithfulness to each other living the promise you made til death do you part. God bless you and your life ahead! ^_^

On my Travel escapades, I know I said last 2011 that I will “save” this year when it comes to travelling. However, if the deal is so good, who can resist? hahaha! I  went to Singapore again but now with Andrew and Ate Cha, then off to Legazpi, Albay and Donsol, Sorsogon for some Whale Shark experience, then flew to Coron, Palawan for some beach bumming with relatives. Mid year last year, I went to Kuala Lumpur with Andrew and his sister, then finally to Seoul, Korea by the last quarter of 2012. It was really an awesome adventure. Pretty heavy on the pocket but really great journey. 🙂 (And yeah, may utang akong blog posts! sorry, busy lang talaga.)

Lastly, for my personal life’s events. I’ve been blessed with amazing opportunities that I never thought would have given to me. Some of which are being a Guest Speaker at my Alma Mater, was interviewed by the British Council, watched the Phantom of the Opera staged here in Manila and had more than 2 wedding coordination jobs that enhanced my organization skills. I was also back into sports at the early months of the year and was part of my employer’s volleyball team. I’m also very grateful for my friends and network of friends who supported my/our Birthday Project 2012. It wouldn’t be a success without your help.

Thank you so much for all the people I’ve worked with in 2012! I’ve gain new friends, colleagues and acquaintances. It was really a blast. So much was given, I feel so blessed. Happy I’ve shared part of me to people who matters and able to gain knowledge from wise people I’ve encountered. Truly, I’m very grateful.

I hope 2013 would bring me more good luck and blessings than the year has been. Dear Universe, please be kind to me.

Happy New Year 2013!!!
