I’ve been employed in one of the best companies in the world and I’m doing just fine. I don’t normally post work related activities in my blog but this is an exception. Why? Because this kept me busy for quite sometime now and it hinders me to update my blog daily. Hahaha! The year 2011 was really an exciting year. I quit my job as a Systems Consultant and after a couple of months, find myself being hired in a position where I configure similar systems that of my previous employer. I figured out I might as well embrace this and see what’s in store for me in the future.
“What is Siebel?”, that’s the question I kept asking myself from the moment I was interviewed. According to their official website, it is the world’s most complete customer relationship management (CRM) solution, Oracle’s Siebel CRM helps organizations differentiate their businesses to achieve maximum top-and bottom-line growth. It delivers a combination of transactional, analytical, and engagement features to manage all customer-facing operations.
I’m a newbie in this field and it’s quite hard to comprehend. We had a boot camp for almost a month, 2 weeks for lecture and 2 weeks for the case study. It was very unfortunate that our final exam was scheduled a day after New Year’s day. Luckily, majority of us managed to pass the exam.

This week, last Thursday January 12, 2012 to be exact was officially my first month in the company and also the day we had our case study defense. We stayed up late to make all requirements work and finally defended the system we configured. The defense day turned out good except for the last requirement that unfortunately didn’t work during the presentation. I’m hoping we still get a high score to be able to pass the boot camp. Wish us luck! ๐

With all the preparations and pressure we had during the week, I wasn’t able to update my blog. Thus, a pile of backlogs are infront of me waiting to be written and published. Next week would be another adventure for me and the rest of the group. I hope I can find time to do my routine. ๐
