2011 Highlights: FMA Alumni Homecoming

Run, Jump, Make Noise but Do Not Sin. St. John Bosco

As much as I want to share with you many photos taken during the FMA Alumni Homecoming held in Don Bosco School, Sta. Mesa last December 11, 2011, I can’t. I accidentally formatted my memory stick confident enough that I’ve transferred the pictures in my PC. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My bad. I only get to save the pictures stored in the other camera. *sigh*

My only batch mate that attended the homecoming: Reeva Sumulong and Music Teacher: Mr. Pineda

It was my first time to attend an Alumni Homecoming since my batch (ahem!) don’t attend to this kind of gathering not that they don’t want to but conflict in schedule always arise. Since it was already 10 years since I graduated HS, it would be a nice gesture to be back and reminisce memories I had of my Elem and HS years.

I was happy seeing familiar faces of the sisters as well as past schoolmates. Though not all past teachers were there, some came like Ms. Mabazza who is now Mrs. (I forgot her last name but as of writing, I’ve already sent her a message in FB asking her married name. hehe!), Mrs. Peñano and Mr. Pineda. They were my English, Hekasi and Music teachers respectively. Most of the sisters I know are not present so I only get to take a few photos with them. It was nice seeing my mentors again and better if majority were there too!

All Time Hosts: Aiza and Apple

Anyway, the program was hosted my none other than ultimate host for my entire stay in DBS were Aiza Pagkalinawan and Apple Recaña. Hahaha!! It started with a short AVP presentation then games like Pinoy Henyo where the sisters also played. There were performances of the FMA sisters as well as Ms. Beverly Salviejo who was a past pupil of Holy Trinity Academy – Girls Division batch…. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say it in public so I’ll leave it as a bonus for those who attended the homecoming. There were raffle draws in between performances too. Past pupils also performed but I don’t know them since they were the batch who just graduated in the last 2-3 years I think. It was also a surprise seeing Kuya Virgilio still in the school. My batch mates definitely know him! Hehe.

Sister Pinky, FMA
Sr. Beth, FMA

It was really fun! I had a great time. The program ended with a magic show by Marcelle Fabie and a guessing game where they showed photos of the FMA sisters during their younger years. I really am sad that I wasn’t able to show you more pictures of the celebration. You would have appreciated it more.

Once a Bosconian, always a Bosconian.

Have you ever attended an Alumni Homecoming? How was your experience?
