Have you heard of the AVA Community? Well, if not from BDO ads, I wouldn’t know about this amazing community.
I confess, I’m not a fashionista and it shows in my blog. I’m having a hard time styling myself and dressing up. But every girl dreams to be like the models in the magazines, the girls in the runway or simply put, to be beautiful and adored by many. That’s why I envy my friends and fashion bloggers who can style themselves on their own. I know fashion styling is not taught in school and should be an innate skill but sadly, I don’t have one. As a result, I dwell much of my styles on what I see in magazines or something I’m used to and comfortable wearing.
Well, in as much as I want to follow the fashion trends, it’s just so hard to convince myself to have a budget for new clothes. I’m not accustomed buying clothes from time to time. I even have clothes way back in high school. Hahaha! Because of this, sometimes I feel like I’m depriving myself the ability to dress up and style a bit.
Being a frugal person, I usually shop in bazaars or tiangges since there are a number of good finds that approves my budget. However, sometimes it’s just so nice if you can buy one of those designer brands you see in the magazines and commercials on TV. Besides, those brands offer exquisite styles in their wide range of collections and you can be sure of the item’s quality too.
This post might be a little materialistic in contrast with my Birthday Project 2011, but I’m just sharing my thoughts anyways.
The new community AVA.ph is the Philippines’ first members only shopping community with designer brands up to 70% off! They are partnered with BDO that’s why I was able to get the ads. However, when I clicked on the website, they already have a number of previous sales so I guess this runs for a number of weeks already.
The website is similar to the deal sites/coupon site we have in the country but more sophisticated. The pictures will definitely entice you to click more and see the items on sale.
They have the following tabs in the website:
Today’s Sales, where you’ll see the current items on sale. Usually, they inform you what items/brands are to be sold on a specific date so you can mark your calendars and watch out for that day. Most of the items are limited so you really have to schedule your shopping time. I personally am interested to buy the LongChamp Le Pliage sale but unfortunately, everything were sold out.
Previous Sales, the items already sold previously but can put it in your “Add to Wishlist” and if there are enough number of interests, they will feature the product again! Nice strategy right?
Curator’s Pick, I think they look for well known stylists or fashion icons and they talk about fashion. Currently, they featured Sidney Yap.
The Lovelist, a feature that separates Ava.ph from other deal sites. They include information about the brands they are selling and all the fashion related news that will help people learn more about being beautiful. To excite you, they have a Guide to Perfect Jeans and an Online Shopping Guide.
Invite, finally the credits page. Initially, you get a Php 200 from initial sign up and then you also get a chance to earn additional Php 200 from your referred friend on their first purchase. This credits can only be claimed from September 10, 2011 to October 10, 2011. S0 what are you waiting for? Register now!
However, based from the BDO ads circulating thru email, a card holder will be given a Php 500 E-Card upon registration. When I checked my credits, I only got the Php 200. I already asked AVA.ph about it and I’m still waiting for their reply.
I was impressed with the site’s interface and content. I’m a bit excited with the next sales. Hopefully I can buy one from them. Actually I’m thinking of rewarding myself once a month… only if I get to have a stable job though. Hahaha!
Register Now and Enjoy Shopping! ^_^
