2011 June Travel: China Beijing and Shanghai

It’s my first time to travel internationally in a package tour besides World Youth Day 2005 of course. And I must say, I appreciate tours now than before. It might be pricey sometimes but it’s worth it because of the knowledge and stress free time in their country. However, sometimes I still opt to do ‘Do It Yourself’ (DIY) as it saves you money. But in the case of China, I find it hard to DIY since majority of the people there don’t speak in English.

At first we were hesitant with the price because it’s so cheap. Travelling to China can be cheaper than travelling to Palawan! You can check their website and contact them directly for more info. (tip: inform them you read it from my blog! ^_^)

    1. Hi Michael! I didn’t seek assistance for my China Visa. I only verified the requirements thru the internet. However, I can ask them if they could assist you and will get back on you regarding that. Thank you!

Do they follow all this requirements? cause I don’t have some of the requirements like:
            3.   Invitation letter with a copy of the inviter’s valid Chinese residence visa and passport information page of inviter’s or Chinese national identity card.
            4.  For employed persons, also provide an employment certificate; company ID, SSS ID and contributions, TIN ID and latest ITR ….I dont have the SSS ID

            thanks Mam Kath…

  3. I think invitation letter is optional however, the ID’s for an employed person is required. If you don’t have the SSS ID, you can scan the pink form or if not, just present all government issued ID that you have. 🙂

Mam Kath one last sets questions, 1. What are the needed documents in china immigration and 2. how many hours isu00a0allotted in Great Wall tour…thanks heheu00a0u00a0

          5. China Immigration? Wala naman. Just present your passport with visa. It’s also helpful if you have your IT on hand as well as your valid IDs just for identification. Also the hotel voucher as proof that you have somewhere to stay.nnFor the Great Wall of China. Not that long, we went there and spent only for an hour I guess. It’s too tiring if you climb all the way to the top. Hahaha!nnExcited for you! ^_^ Enjoy!!!

Mam Kath how much pocket money do I need to bring for Pasalubong, Foods, etc..Expensive ba mga bilihin dun? Thanks!!!u00a0

    1. Actually, you don’t need to buy food unless you’re a big eater. Sobrang dme ng servings yung kasama sa package. Pero, depende pa rin yon kse kme puros girls umalis, mahina kunwari kumain. Pero it’s really enough. However, kung gsto mo ng mga snacks. Mura lang naman kasi may malapit na parang sari sari store sa hotel.nnFor the pasalubong, $100-200 is okay depending sa bibilhin mo.. There are cheap finds but there are also some items that are a bit pricey. nnWord of advice though… wag kang mag-give in sa lahat ng ino-offer ng mga tourist spots na pupuntahan mo like the tea shops or the silk shop unless you really want to buy. Baka kse dun maubos ung baon mo. Hehehe! 🙂

    2. You really don’t need pocket money for food if you availed of the full board meals coz it’s really enough. They have big servings so I don’t think you need more. However, if you’re a big eater and you want to buy food still or to try those street foods, they are not that expensive. So that wouldn’t be a problem. Around Php50-100, I think.nnFor the pasalubongs, it depends on what you buy. There are shops that sell in bulk for a cheap price. Just be careful when buying. 🙂
