Pampanga’s Taisan Cake

Have you heard of Pampanga’s Taisan Cakes? This week surely was a Pampanga’s treat! Starting from the Hot Air Balloon Event (which until now I haven’t blog about…) until last Wednesday when our family friend had her 50th birthday who was born in Pampanga.

Her souvenir was a box of cupcakes and a chocolate cupcake! waahhh.. food food food! Hahaha! I really love food most especially sweets. ^_^ I know that Pampanga is a food haven for most of the Filipinos. If you are a Kapampangan, you’ll be definitely tagged to be a good cook. It’s their pride!

And yes, true enough… the Taisan cake and the cupcake was sssssoooo yummy!!! It was my first time to hear of the Taisan cake. Maybe I’ve heard of it but before but it was my first time to taste it. So soft and tasty!!! Also, the cupcake has a bubble gum flavored icing!! Soo cool!!!

I asked my mom to ask them where they bought it and how much does it cost. I want to buy some and share it to my friends. Good thing I got another box for Andrew to taste. ^_^

Since I can’t get the answer quickly, I googled it and found a blog that even has its recipe!!! Waaahh.. it was called Buttery Taisan de Pampanga! I would definitely try to bake this cake by next week or so and let you know how it went. Hahaha! (Baking refreshers course ito!)

I hope what I bake will be the same with the one I’m eating at the moment. Hahaha! Good Luck to my baking skills! :p
