2010 Boracay Paradise Day 3: Para Sailing and Reef Walking

We woke up early again to enjoy the breakfast buffet. We also need to start early because we need to check out by 1pm since we’re flying via Kalibo. We had a good breakfast. The arrozcaldo was great and the French Toast and Omelette was excellent.

Breakfast in Regency Lagoon

Anyway, we went on and rode a tricycle to Bulabog beach after breakfast. We looked for the Diamond Parasailing since it’s the famous company for parasailing activity. It was Php1,200/head even though we bargained Php1,100/head.

Going to Parasailing Area

We were fetched by a speedboat again from Bulabog beach to the starting point of the parasailing activity. We transferred to a bigger speedboat where the parasail was setup. We were then briefed on what to do when we’re up there, if wanted to stop and go down, we just need to wave our hands in a circular motion. After the briefing, we were given life jackets and the belts were strapped around us to be connected to the parasail.

Getting ready to Parasail

I left my big camera with them so they can take pictures of us and we brought the small camera with us. It was such a wonderful experience. Andrew is not afraid of heights and he really enjoys extreme sports so I bet he had his time of his life when we were up there. But surely, if you get a chance to save some bucks for parasailing, try it some time and you’ll enjoy it too.. ^__^

All geared up!

After the Parasailing, we were dropped off to the Reef Walking area. They recommended a company that will cost us only Php400/each. This includes the photos and videos underwater. We were asked to wear the aqua shoes. Good thing I have one but Andrew have to borrow from them.

Reef Walking / Helmet Diving Area

We were briefed on what to do going down and while underwater. The helmet weighs 32kgs but when under 15ft it’s just 2kgs. When we’re down below the sea bed, it’s as if we’re inside the aquarium. We were literally walking with the fishes. Though sometimes the pressure underwater is a bit annoying and you think that your eardrums will get damaged after the activity, the experience was nice.

We enjoyed both activities but we have to rush to the resort for check out and lunch. We ate our last meal in Boracay then checked out. We were fetched at 1:00pm by the van and then traveled the same route we had when we arrived the first day. By the way, we went back to D’Mall for the last time to claim the pictures and videos on the Reef Walking activity. We dropped by Islands Souvenirs but the shirt I wanted doesn’t have a Small size. The smallest is Large. Too bad for me. (-_-)

We arrived in Kalibo at 3:00pm, an hour earlier than our check in time. Good thing in Kalibo Airport, once you checked in you can still go out and eat wherever you want. Just make sure to be back before boarding time.

Boarding for Manila in Kalibo Airport

We went to Gaisano Mall to buy Biscochios since it’s their delicacy. It’s cheaper in the mall than the ones being sold near the airport of course. The mall is 15mins away from the airport but it’s just a tricycle ride. We paid Php80 for the ride to and from the Gaisano Mall. After an hour, we decided to go back just on time for our boarding. However when we arrived there, it was as if we’re just the ones left behind. Everyone was already seated and ready to go. They can’t get mad at me because we’re really on time. The plane arrived earlier than expected. Hahaha! We were back in Manila at 7:00pm.

Thank you so much for Sunlife’s It’s Time! Advocacy contest. We really enjoyed and had a great time in Boracay. More powers and success to your company. God bless Sunlife Financial. ^__^
