2010 Boracay Paradise Day 2: Island Hopping and ATV Ride

We woke up early the next day because the mass is scheduled at 8:00am. We ate our breakfast at 7:30am and left the resort at 7:45am. We love the breakfast buffet but we didn’t enjoyed our breakfast because we’re rushing.

Breakfast Buffet

Anyway, we arrived ontime for the 8:00am mass. It’s a 10-15mins tricycle ride from the resort. If you’re going to wait for a tricycle, it will only cost you Php10, but if you’ll hire a tricycle, it will cost you Php50.

Boracay Parish Church

We thought that the mass would be the English mass because the guide we talked to the other day told us so. However, it was a Visayan mass but the Gospel and Homily is in English. The priest knows that many tourists go to Boracay on long weekends that’s why he gives his sermon in english.

After the mass, we hurriedly went back home to prepare for the day’s activities. We were fetched by the guide we talked with the day before. They accompanied us to the ticket booth where we paid Php600/each for the Island Hopping activity. It’s a 4-5hr activity and lunch included.

Sand Art

We went to Bulabog Beach because the boat for the Island Hopping was there waiting for us. We were in a group of 10 and with 4 Koreans.

Our first stop was Crocodile Island. The boat just stopped in the middle of the sea and we just went down thru their stairs. There was a fee of Php20 for maintenance of the fishes. We stayed there for quite a while then we went to our next stop.

Our next stop is Crystal Cove. The entrance fee was Php200 so no one went inside since it’s a bit pricey. I saw from the pictures of my former officemates the beauty of Crystal Cove and I was envious. So the next time I’ll visit Boracay, I’ll make sure to enter Crystal Cove.

Since it’s almost lunch time, we went to the Island where they served our lunch. It’s a decent lunch but the Koreans didn’t like it that much.

Lunch Time in Boracay

After lunch, we went back to our boat and went to our final stop. I forgot the name of the beach but when I researched on the beach name, it is near the Lapuz Lapuz beach. Anyway, we didn’t swim here since the current is very strong. The boat men advised us not to go far because we might be carried away by the current.

After that, we went back to Bulabog Beach and went back to the resort to take a rest and rinse a bit. We were supposed to do Reef Walking but when we arrived in Bulabog beach again, it was already 5pm and all services were closed already. Disappointed with what happened, we decided to do plan B. We would do the ATV Ride.

Back to Resort
Going to Bulabog Beach by Tricycle
Going to Mt.Luho by Motorcycle

The guide called for a single motorcycle for our ride since it will only cost us Php30 for the ride. We went to Mt. Luho for our ATV adventure. When we arrived there, there was a guy who briefs all the passengers of the ATV and the route to take during the whole adventure. Since both scenic spots has an entrance fee, we should pay that too in the the counter. We paid Php500/each and additional Php100/each for the 2 entrance fees. (P.S. You can save money if you contact directly the ATV company. Their rate is just Php350)

ATV Ride

We were asked to were shin guards with knee caps and arm guards with elbow caps. It’s for everbody’s safety. They also have a test drive where they will evaluate if you can ride the ATV, if you don’t pass the test, you have to ride the buggy cars.

Everland Aviary Farm

Since both of us passed the test, we started our ATV Ride! Our first stop: Everland Aviary Farm. Since it’s an aviary, you’ll see a lot of birds in golf cars, speedboats, jetskies and mini motors. I asked the guide where they get those and he told me that those were from the Korean owners that were destroyed during the typhoon “Frank“. He said that they didn’t see it coming since it was night time when it hit Boracay. Good thing those business minded foreigners knew what to do with their scraps.

Going to Tanawin View Point

Anyway, our next stop was Tanawin View Point. It is again owned by a Korean. You can see the overlooking of Bulabog Beach and Caticlan Islands. It was such a relaxing place. I think it’s one of the Luxury Apartments in Boracay.

After that we went back to the starting point and waited for the others to arrive. We will join them since there is a free shuttle ride going back to D’Mall. Our guide already left us since it’s already late. We finished at around 7.30pm. We went back to the resort afterwards to rest and eat our dinner.

After dinner, we decided to maximize our time since we will leave Boracay the next day. We went to White beach and looked for POI dancers. We saw POI dancers in SandBar. I thought that they were girls but my boyfriend insisted that they were gays. I didn’t believed him until the Tattoo Artist told me so.

Speaking of Tattoo, we had our Henna Tattoo in Boracay. My anklet tattoo is Php100 and Andrew’s tribal art is Php150. The tattoo artist advised us to let it dry for an hour and rinse it with water before going to bed since hotels asks additional pay when their sheets were stained by henna. So to let our tattoo dry, I told my boyfriend that we should try Jonah’s fruitshake. I’ve read good reviews in the internet regarding this drink so we looked for it.

It’s almost 10pm and the store is still open. They told us that they are open 24 hrs on peak season but closes at 11pm on off-peak season. Good thing we went there an hour earlier than their closing time. I ordered Choco Banana Peanut (Php90) and Mango Banana (Php90) for Andrew. We both liked the drink but I didn’t finish it. I was already full and I can’t consume it anymore. I just take it out and brought to the Resort.

This day was truly a long tiring day but definitely a fun filled experience which is worth all the tiredness we felt. ^__^
