We had our second round of eat-all-you can Japanese food in Yakimix. This time, I learned my lesson and called them ahead of time to make reservations for lunch time. This is because the last time we went there, we waited for an hour and we’re listed 5th on the waiting list. An hour had passed and no one billed out so we’re still 5th on the list. That’s why we opt to dine in Kimono Ken that night.
Anyways, here’s another set of Yakimix experience in Tomas Morato branch. We reserved 3 seats for lunch under my name. We are supposed to be there by 11am and they have a grace period of 15mins or else your reservation will be canceled and will be given to those who are waiting in the list.
When we arrived, I thought that there will be less customers compared during dinner time but I was wrong. There were many customers too even in lunch time. Luckily we arrived right on time that day so our reservation was not canceled.
I think we were the ones who started to get some sushi in the bar. The table was near the entrance so it’s not that hard to find. It has my name on it but with a different spelling. Since we were escorted there, we assumed it’s ours.
So we started to get the raw meats for grilling then went back for some sushis. I also tasted their soup, if I remembered it right it is called “Spinach Seafood Soup”. At first it’s not that appealing since its color is green. Maybe because of the spinach but when you try to taste it, it really tastes good. If only I could get a cupful without being full, I’d definitely get some more. There is no soup like this in Yakimix Mall of Asia. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s lunch and not dinner? Just assuming.
Anyways, so we started to grill the meat and the seafoods then of course ate all the sushi. I loved the crunchy salmon sushi. You’re like eating chicharon with salmon and nori on it. Also, I always crave for the cattle fish cuttlefish and the squid. It is only now that I learned that you just have to heat it up a little so that it’ll be tasteful and yummy. I used to let it stay on the grill so it’ll be well done but it always turns out to be gummy and hard. The reason for that is it’s overcooked.
I made sure that I didn’t full myself with sushi and seafood so that I can have their dessert. Like that of MOA branch they have an unlimited ice cream bar with your choice of toppings and some ice pops too. They do have a wide range of cakes and tarts too but I just got those cute cheesecakes on the bar.
All in all, we’re solved. We finished around 1-2pm. (sinulit lang tlga ang bayad). By the way, they charge the same price if it’s Sunday and Holiday even if you’re dining there at lunch time (buffet – Php 680). At regular days, they only charge Php499 for buffet and Php55 for unlimited drinks. (i’m not sure with the drinks though).
