Have you ever tried flying AirAsia? Honestly, I haven’t tried one but my mom and her friend booked a flight since there are April Promos and much cheaper than the other airlines. The catch is, their airport is located only in Clark, Pampanga. So in short, they have to leave Manila hours before their flight since they would be traveling roughly 2-3hrs going to Clark.
Anyways, they let me book 6 flights on September 2010. Pretty early huh? Well I guess they’re just enjoying their lives to the full. (I’m planning to do that in the future with my future husband though..) Maybe that’s one of the cons of having a credit card. Fortunately, they pay me at once when the bill arrives and I get to pay the bank before the due date.
They made a trip from Manila-KotaKinabalu-Jakarta-Bali-Singapore-KL-Manila! All in all, roughly 35k for the both of them. Well, it’s hard to tell though since some of the fees are in Indonesian and Malaysian dollars plus tax and baggage fee. Also, unlike Cebu Pacific’s online facility, AirAsia’s guest details includes Passport number and expiration date. After the 2 bookings, you’ll get the hang of it already.
By the way, they also have this “Web Check-in” which I think is a plus for travelers. They can check-in up to 4 hours before their flight online. Just a print out of the online check-in for confirmation and they are set! It minimizes the long line in the airport and is very convenient I think especially if you’re living far from the airport and you’re worried if you’ll get in time before the counter closes. Be sure to be on time before the plane leaves though or you’ll end up no flying at all.
For those interested, visit AirAsia Website. I’ll post the pictures of the promos too so you’ll go to their website if you want to plan and book your flights already.
