When I was in high school even in college, I don’t put on make up as much as I do now. (Maybe it comes with age…) As long as I don’t have anything yucky on my face, a face powder can suffice. However, years after college I was obsessed with make ups and skin care. When I went to South Korea, I got back with a full luggage of skin care and make ups.
Jim even got me a fashion book by Nina Garcia one Christmas. And a friend of mine, Judith also gave me her Bobbi Brown make up book!
Finally, learning how to style myself Thanks Jimu!!! #XmasGift

Last year, I got these books and I’m not sure if I live what I’ve learned from them. The first acquisition was Stylized by Liz Uy. It contains tips on fashion so you’ll know different kinds of denim and styles suitable for your body type. Quite a number of artists were featured on her book. It’s star studded!
This next book was acquired by my flatmate, Reg. It’s Besties by Solenn and Georgina. This book is very interesting as they showed before and after photos of them. Literally no make up and with make up. Quite a good buy coz they tackled not just fashion and make up but they have a section for food and fitness as well. They shared bits of their personal life on their book so it made it more personal and relatable.
The most recent book we had is This is me, Love Marie by Heart Evangelista. Again, I’ve been seeing this book on my instagram feed so I got curious. Well, it’s all about her skincare and make up tips. It’s similar to Besties but it’s just about her. Good tips as well.
Well, all books have their own way of presenting ideas and tips so just get what works for you and forget others. There’s too much to remember if you want to be versatile. It’s a good diversion of what I usually do on a weekday.
