4th Stop: Puerto Galera

The foremost asset of Oriental Mindoro, Puerto Galera is blessed with one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbors. Known as the Pearl of Mindoro, it is world-famous for splendid beaches, coral reefs, and exquisite dive sites for new and experienced divers alike. There are shallow coral gardens, interesting rock formations, and colorful species to watch, like crabs, shrimps, sea anemones, moray, and trumpet fishes.

It was my first time in Puerto Galera. A 3hr drive to Batangas and 1 ½ boat ride to White Beach, Puerto Galera. The moment we landed on the sands of Mindoro Oriental, we were ecstatic. It’s BEACH time!

We looked for a place to stay in, unpacked some things and then off to the beach. We also went to the other side of the beach that we have to crawl inside a cave to get there. It was a struggle but worth it.

The next day, we went snorkeling! It was fantastic. The coral reefs, the fishes, underwater!!! Good thing, Roan’s friend, Louie brought his underwater camera that’s why we were able to capture the moments with the fishes.

We all had fun and we had our share of sun!!! We got sunburn after that. But no regrets.
