Have you seen the latest fragrance of Attraction in town? Make way and smell the newest scents from Gyuma Manila.
I was fortunate enough to be the “face” of Gyuma! Hahaha! It was just accidentally that my friend told me about the photoshoot. As a sucker of beautiful portraits and a frustrated model, I agreed.
It was a rainy afternoon when I arrived the location. The team was already there and we started right away once the person in charge from the company has arrived.
The makeup was done by Steffi Verzola, the sister of a former colleague. A talented young girl with a makeup mirror and a few swatches of color who transformed everyone from a morning look to a more sophisticated look.
As you can see, the published image is my “sophisticated look”. It was inspired by Andi Eigenmann‘s look in Marc Nicdao’s magazine.
The whole concept was amazing and I was really excited to be part of this project. There were improvisions made like my dress. It was just a white blouse from Plains & Prints and wrapped a black cloth to make it a dress. Pretty awesome, right?
After that day, I didn’t followed up. I just received an SMS that the fragrance was already launched sometime in December 2012. I never thought that it would end up to look like this:
Amazing right?! Hahaha! I would never have known about this if not for my team mate. One Monday morning, he greeted me with a confused question: “Kath, nag-model ka ba ng pabango? ‘G’ nag-sstart yung brand tapos naka-black & white ka?“. I was shocked and guilty at the same time. I asked him where he saw it and said it was it SM North Edsa! I hurriedly googled ‘Gyuma + SM North’ and found their Facebook account.
I was laughing by myself with total amusement to see myself on print. Hahahaha! Damn, I can crash out one of the things on my bucket list as I was able to be seen on “print ad”. It might not be as big time as others but still it’s print! Hahahaha!
