Marikina Shoe Fair at Eastwood City

This afternoon, I was surprised with the green big shoe I saw in Umagang Kay Ganda on my to the office. Luckily buses have TVs inside so I am updated every morning.

Anyway, the Marikina Sapatos Festival (Marikina Shoe Festival) is at Eastwood City’s Central Plaza. The plaza usually where the weekend tiangges are setup but this time, the shoe fair was the main event.

My friend and I went there lunch time but I only bought a pair after work. Hahaha! Here’s what I posted in instagram this afternoon:

After office hours, I went back and took pictures again of the festival. That time, there were live music and some men wearing Barongs. Maybe the launch happened some time in the afternoon as there were flowers at the entrance and the green shoe was moved from the inside of the plaza to the walk of the stars area.

Here’s the pair I got for Php 500, an aztec inspired shoe Niriñas by Alligator:

this is where I bought the aztec shoe 🙂

There are lots of nice shoes ranging from 300-500 for girls. I didn’t bother asking for men’s shoes though but there are cheap finds too according to my friend. He wanted a pair of Swatch slippers but it costs Php1,200. Hahaha! Let’s see if he’ll purchase it before the week ends.

I’m thinking of reselling shoes from Marikina to other parts of the world using various online markets like Amazon. I like to use an FBA calculator as it is a life changing app to calculate my fulfillment costs.

They have nice espadrilles

I’m reserving one sandals from Roweliza’s too!
