I first checked in at The Bellevue Manila last December 2010. I was with my BFFs and we celebrated our Xmas Party there. We booked a suite in the Main lobby and were impressed with their accommodation as well as their staff. I never thought that there is another tower available. And it was where we stayed last weekend.
I was invited by The Bellevue Manila for an overnight stay in the hotel. I didn’t hesitate the moment I got the email since I somewhat know the hotel. I’d be more than happy to check their hotel and see what’s in store for locals like me.
The first thing I did was check how to get there. Since I’m not a south girl, I’m not so familiar with the streets though I’ve been to the area for a couple of times but with my friends. It was smooth sailing since signs were available upon entering Alabang exit. We were there around 30minutes from Makati. It was unbelievable!
Anyway, we parked in the Main Tower’s parking and we just have to validate the parking ticket upon check out to wave the parking fee.
And so, our escapade has started…
We went straight to the main tower’s reception area and Mr. Raymond escorted us to our room. It was really a surprise for me because I never really knew about the other wing. Hahaha! I was like a kid who is having a field trip.
The feel of the Tower wing is so much different from the Main wing. It is larger and definitely more elegant looking. I was dumbfounded with how huge their lobby was compared to the main wing. It has a good lighting making it pleasing to the eyes. Its color theme is black and white with a lot of glasses. Sorry I don’t know the technical term for those. There’s a grand piano too near the entrance of the Tower Wing.
We were booked in a Grand Deluxe room with a good view of the area and at night, the city lights. Though the surroundings were mostly buildings but you can still appreciate the surroundings.
The room is pretty spacious, more than enough room for 2 pax. It was a king sized bed with soft linens with many pillows! Majority of the hotels only provide 1 pillow for each but they have 2 pillows plus the hotdog pillow.
Beside the bed is a sofa bed so I guess you can sneak in another one? Haha! It has a side table too with a clock that can also be and ipod speakers. The LCD is placed near the walkway but it can be adjusted according to your preference. Pretty cool stuff but I was afraid it might break. Hahaha!
They also have a personal fridge that is normally exists to most of the hotels but it was full of drinks to choose from BUT I think you have to pay according to your usage.
I certainly love their comfort room. If you ask my friends, they know I’m a sucker for bathtubs! I don’t have one at home so I feel like a queen when I get to use one.
A complete set of toiletries plus a face mirror very much fit for someone who wants to see their face close enough that you can see your pores! Hahaha.
They also have a separate bath area with rainforest shower head. Simply amazing! =))
An iron board with an iron of course is also available for use. A blow dryer is a plus too! There are available bathrobes as well as room slippers for guests to use.
So since we’re just wasting time before dinner buffet starts, we decided to tour the hotel. We checked out the Poolside in the Tower Wing and I must say, their pictures are pretty accurate.
On the same floor where the pool is, the Mandarine Spa is also located. We booked the 1-hour complimentary massage an hour before the closing time since we have to rest a bit after dinner.
A soothing massage is definitely a must to relieve the stress you had for the week. Their masseuses are well trained and will give you the pressure you prefer. Just tell them if you prefer a hard or soft rub.
At the 22nd floor of the same wing, the Vue Bar is located. It has a 360-degree view of the metro. It is also a nice place to see the sunset.
They say that it has a state of the art light and sounds system perfect for small or big parties. They also have live entertainment from Mondays to Saturdays for everyone to enjoy.
Going back to our tour, we then decided to visit the Main Wing where I originally stayed about a year ago with friends. It was Christmas time that year and they had a huge Christmas tree in their lobby.
On the rear end of the Main Wing, you’ll notice the Pastry Corner. There you can buy breads and pastries for your family and friends. You can order and dine in there for a quick merienda.
A noticeable tower cake is also displayed there together with a wide array of breads to choose from.
Anyway, they also have a poolside located on the 3rd floor. Its structure is circular in shape different with the ones in the tower wing that is rectangular like a lap pool. This was the pool that I saw the first time I went there.
The gym is also located on that wing as well as> Jing Monis Salon. It was a familiar salon but I can’t remember where I first heard about it. After we left, it registered to me that it was the salon that Patty Laurel was tweeting about and featuring in her blog. I should’ve tried their services! Well, there’s always a next time.
By the way, there’s a complimentary fruits for the guests and mineral water too. I decided to create a separate blog post for the dining experience in Bellevue. This is just a summary of the accommodation that the hotel offers to their guests.
It’s not every day that I get to enjoy simple pleasures like these so I’m really grateful for the opportunity given to me by the BH&R management. Thank you most especially to Jehn Domingo who was kind enough to answer all my inquiries before our weekend getaway.
I definitely would like to experience their newest hotel in Bohol. My mom was born there and I personally choose Panglao Beach over Boracay. Knowing that Bellevue Resort is being developed there, I am certainly sure that it would be a one of a kind experience. You’ll surely want to see and experience Bohol coupled with one of the best accommodations the Island can offer.
Good job to Bellevue Staff and Management. Keep smiling and always be welcoming to all your guests. More powers to your business. ^_^
