Yummy Friday: O’sonho Portuguese Fusion Restobar

O’sonho is Portuguese for “the dream“. So, the restaurant’s tagline is “Taste the dream”. I don’t know if it makes sense but the food here is really good.

We only tried 2 dishes and we were impressed. I was with my colleague and had our lunch out at our building’s ground floor.

Salad (I forgot what this is called but salad with salmon and a slice of lamb something..)

Salad

I can just go down and order this salad and I’ll be okay. Delectably great! The slice of lamb made the difference as well as the salmon with it. The salad dressing is not overwhelming so we had a tasty appetizer.

Todos Paella De Carne – All Meat Paella Php 480.00
A heavenly mix of bacon, beef, chicken, lamb and chourico-carefully spiced and specially cooked to satisfy the most demanding meat craving. Good for 2 persons. Allow 30 minutes for paella perfectio.

All Meat Paella

This meal is not really for 2 persons, 2-3 pax maybe but it depends on how hungry you both are. Since we already had an appetizing salad, we’re a little bit full already. So we only ate half of the paella’s serving. I was hesitant at first because of the paella we ordered in Davao but I forgot my apprehensions on my first bite. It was superb! The taste was remarkable. I’ve never tasted paella that good. I wanted to eat more but I’m so full already so I take home half of it. Gah, I can still taste that dish as of writing. I remember the time it was served, wrapped in a foil to maintain its freshness. When the waiter opened it… aaahhh.. the smell of the paella wants me to dig it at once. Well, I did but it was too hot that I have to take some time to cool it off. Hahaha!

We really had a good choice of food and were happy about it. Before we left the resto, I also asked the waiter how O’sonho is pronounced and he told us that it is “O-sonyo”. So in Portuguese language, H is Y? Hehe!

It’s a definite must try Portuguese restaurant. I would probably bring my loved ones here and order their famous “Peri-Peri Chicken”!
