Last saturday, June 4, 2011 to be exact was the first Nuffnang Family Day and I was fortunate to be part of it. So for those who wasn’t able to be there since it was postponed (originally it should be last May 28th but due to the weather, it was moved last June 4th), I’ll share my personal experience of the event. There were a number of bloggers out there who joined the event and I think it would be interesting if you get to read their experiences as well.
To start of, I brought a “Family of 4”. However, due to lecture schedule, my friend Pache wasn’t able to join us. So it was only me, Andrew and Ate Cha. Meeting time was 1:30pm in Krispy Kreme Bonifacio High Street. It was Trixie, the Nuffnang’s Blogger Relations who was there waiting for the bloggers. It was my first time to see her and I was impressed by how she looks. Hehe. ^_^ Then later that day, she was teased by the Nuffies since she is already a celebrity! I hope to see her in Amaya though I’m not a fan of GMA. After a while, Denise arrived. She’s also part of Nuffnang and knew her during the Nestle Yogurt event.
The Nuffbus was parked on the other side of the road and it was supposed to leave at exactly 2:15pm. However, I don’t know what happened, we left around 2:45pm or almost 3:00pm already. It was not a big deal though since everybody’s in a fun and cool disposition that day. The Nuffbus was sponsored by JAC Liners that has a Free Wifi on the road! So if you’re on tweeter, you get to see comments from the Nuffies on our way to Tagaytay.
It was a long ride to Tagaytay but we arrived in Crosswinds safe and sound. We were dropped near the Christmas Store and walked our way towards the helipad area. There we saw the Nuffnang staff preparing the FOOOOOODDD and the giveaways.
Every “family” was given a mat for us to sit on while we were having fun. We were in the middle part where we can see almost everyone and the “stage” as well.
When we were settled, the Nuffies distributed chips and food for everyone. The food was literally over flowing. Everybody’s enjoying the food that was given to us every 15mins I guess. Hahaha! It started with Jack & Jill chips: Chicharon ni Mang Juan Sukang Paumbong flavor (our personal favorite! we tasted it first in Palawan and thought it was only available there) and the Kichi – barbecue prawns flavored curls. Then a bag of Goldilocks Fluffy Mamon, then the Fit & Right Iced Tea Peach Flavored drink and finally the Jollibee Cruncy Chicken Burger.
After the first round of food, there were also games that the Nuffies facilitated. The first one was Bring Me Game where winners get to have 711 GC worth Php 500. Next was the Hep Hep Horay of the kids who also get to take home 711 GC worth Php 500. Then next was the Manila Paper Dance that consists of 5 members: 3 adults and 2 kids. The winners get to take home gift packs from Neo. I asked Janese, who won the game what were inside the bag and she told me that Neo gave away headsets, USB and other techie gadgets.
Then the 2nd round of food came… Pizza Hut’s family sized Supreme Pizza with Mozzarella Sticks and Del Monte’s 100% Pineapple juice in can. So everybody’s munching again when the pizza arrived. It was almost sunset so everybody’s enjoying the scenery while eating the food given by the sponsors.
Since it’s not yet dark, they still have to facilitate some games to keep everyone entertained. The next games were the following:
Hep Hep Horay Adult Version – where the winner won an Overnight Stay in Crosswinds Tagaytay.
The Boat is Sinking – where Andrew & I joined but didn’t win. The winners get to take home Neo jackets as well as Overnight Stay in Crosswinds Tagaytay.
Continue the Song (with the correct song version) – where the winners get to take home Pantene Bounce gift packs.
Most creative way to spell NUFFNANG – the final game of the event. This was fun since everybody had their own ways of spelling Nuffnang. Everyone who joined the contest won an Overnight Stay in Crosswinds Tagaytay.
So after all the games and laughter, the climax of the event came which is the lifting of lanterns. I am a fan of Disney’s Tangled movie that’s why I really wanted to join the event and true enough, Kel who was the host for the night told us that the event was inspired by the movie. I made a simple video of the lifting of lantern moment. ^_^
Wait, there’s more! Before we left the place, the Nuffnang team introduced themselves and gave away gift packs in Skechers bag for the bloggers. After the event, we went to the Christmas Village and took some photos there. The staff from Crosswinds also gave us cupcakes and candies for the kids. When we were on the bus, the Nuffnang team again distributed food from Mister Donut and gums from Mentos. Until the end, the Nuffies made sure we were not hungry. Hehe! ^_^
We were tired but we had a great time. We arrived in Boni High at 11pm, I think.
Thank you Nuffnang for another wonderful event. Until next time! ^_^
Here’s the snippet of Disney’s Tangled when they were lifting the lanterns on Ranpunzel’s birthday.
