This restaurant makes me smile every time I pass through it. Why? It is because it is associated with our friend Richard Ilagan. ^_^ (Patrick was the culprit behind this..)
I’ve seen this first in Eastwood City Mall and then somewhere in Morato I think. Anyway, we ate in Eastwood City as our monthly date.
I like the interior of the place, however I don’t like the lighting that much. Maybe because we sat at the corner place. I don’t recommend sitting there unless you want to see the waiters fixing the plates and ordering from the kitchen.
We didn’t order much so we sticked to the main course without appetizer and dessert. We are kinda in a diet since we’re always pigging out these past few days because of the number of occasions we’ve been to.
For our meal that night, we had the Half Slab Baby Back Ribs (which they claim to be the most requested dish) and the Shrimp and Sausage Pasta.
The Baby Back Ribs tastes great. It is tender and you can taste the flavor. You don’t actually need a sauce for that. However, I know some people prefers to have sauce for that kind of dish so I recommend that the restaurant will provide condiments in the table. The Half Slab also has a side dish of your choice, for us we had the French Fries which turns out to be a Baked Potatoes instead. Maybe my notation of french fries is the one we usually eat in McDonalds/Jollibee. The dish and the side dish passed my boyfriend’s meticulous palette.
As for the Shrimp and Sausage Pasta, I thought it wouldn’t taste that good but I was wrong. We find it good too. We enjoyed the pasta! Andrew loved the sausage and I loved the shrimp. Hehe!
All in all, the food was great. I will try some of their dishes the next time we eat there. The price is average for us.
By the way, The Flying Pig is a sister restaurant of Red Crab and Blu Fish.
