Our next stop, outlet stores in Singapore!
This day supposed to be KKL (Kanya-Kanyang Lakad) since we all have someone to meet in Singapore. However, since it is on a Monday all of my friends are working and is busy so I can’t force them to meet me. Roocie has somewhere to go to and so I’m going to accompany Reg to her shopping spree! ^_^
First stop was in Queenstown Mall. I actually don’t like the place so we just checked the stores then went to Anchor’s Point Mall. Since it’s already lunch time, we decided to eat first before we buy some stuff. We ate in their Food Court that has a lot of varieties. We ate at Osaka Cuisine since I saw that one Bento Box will just cost me $4.80. It’s cheap! Then we bought a mineral water from Watson’s that is just $0.55. We really need to budget our money. :p
After lunch, we started checking out Billabong Outlet store since it was just beside the food court. The board shorts are still pricey, but we saw a $12 shorts but no size for us. So we’re off to the next store, Charles & Keith. We checked out some sandals and shoes and still not decided if we would buy. We went to other outlet stores like Fox and Giordano but still we didn’t find anything worth buying.
We went back to Charles & Keith to buy the gladiator shoes I wanted. Reg got 2 pairs for herself too. Well at least we got something from travelling to their Mall.
Next stop would be the Orchard Road down to Somerset. It’s a loooonnngg stretch of high end malls. We went inside but didn’t bother to buy some because it’s way out of our budget. Our target is to buy something not more than $20.
Along the way, there are souvenir shops for the Youth Olympic Games. I like to buy everything they got there, shirts, mugs, etc. Since I’m collecting pins, I loved their pin trading souvenir shop. However, those pins are too pricey for me. I just bought something cute like the Merly’s pin with the seal of YOG. It’s $9.90 for a pin.
We went to Lucky Plaza where you can see a number of Filipinos working and majority are Singaporean Indians. This is where I bought Singaporean dollars since it has a higher rate than those inside the malls. We just bought souveniers and chocolates for our “pasalubongs“.
Along the way we saw Paragon, a mall that sells high end products. Then we went straight to Somerset building where we bought Zara and Forever 21 products. If you’re asking for the prices compared to Philippine’s items, there’s just a little difference. Around 100 pesos cheaper in SG but Forever21 prices are almost the same.
After the day’s shopping and mall hopping, we went to Clarke Quay to meet up with Kim. We didn’t have enough energy to stroll and appreciate the surrounding because of hunger. We looked for a cheap restaurant but failed to find one so we decided to eat inside Central‘s foodcourt. I ate a bowl of noodles that night then we went home afterwards.
A tiring 3rd day in Singapore. ^_^ Still, we managed to take a group shot before we settled down and sleep. We are all wearing our new Giordano shirts.
