Nuffnang’s Nestle Jelly Yogurt Event

Yesterday, I was invited by Nuffnang Team to be part of Nestle’s Event. It was the launching of their newest product: Nestle Fruit Yogurt with Jelly!

The invite said that it was in cooperation with Laughter Yoga so I thought that we are going to do the real Yoga with all those stretching and breathing stuff. And that is why Andrew was hesitant to join me in the event. After days of pleading, he gave in.

We went to Nestle Rockwell at exactly 1.30pm. I thought we were lost because I don’t see any sign of Nuffnang banners like the one in Salt Movie Screening. When we went inside their building the head of Nestle’s event was there to welcome us. At least I was relieved.

I liked how they designed the place. The combination of pink and blue together with the balloons and stuff makes me want to go back to my childhood days.

The event started around 2pm. The host for the day was Mr. Mike Unson, a Stand-up Comedian that looks like our friend Carding. (Sorry Cards, don’t get mad at me ^_^) He was really funny! And I like his jokes because it’s not like the ones I experienced in Comedy Bars. He is a wholesome stand-up comedian. I also found out that he is the front act of Mr. Rex Navarette when he is here in the Philippines. (I knew Mr. Navarette because of his famous SBC Packers joke)

After delivering a number of jokes, he introduced Mr. Paolo Trinidad of Laughter Yoga. He is the founder of Laughter Yoga Philippines and the only certified Laughter Yoga instructor.

Paolo Trinidad leading the group

We had the privilege to learn Laughter Yoga from the Master itself. To give you a background, He was already featured in ABS-CBN and quite popular too.  He was depressed before and learned Laughter Yoga to cure his depression. It became his advocacy to help depressed people to see things in a different light.  Instead of going Mall Tours, he goes Jail Tours. He helps prisoners to release their stress and fight depression through laughter. According to him, studies shows that more and more prisoners gets the benefits of Laughing. Truly, “Laughter is the best medicine”.

Laughing while doing Namaste

He taught us different techniques on how to breath. It was only then I knew that when you inhale, you have to use your belly to get the benefits of laughter. Also, you must exhale longer to get rid of the stale air. So Breath In and Breath OOoouuuttttt. At first we were all hesitant to do what he wants us to do but the session won’t be successful if we don’t cooperate. So everyone was laughing throughout the session. Even when saying sorry, you are laughing. Literally we are all really laughing and maybe if someone not included in the session goes in might think that he went inside a mental hospital. He made us go around and look to people in the eye and laugh while doing “Namaste”. He gave us tips on what to do when we wake up and urge us to laugh as often as we do when we were kids. He said that our brain doesn’t know what is true and fake laughter. So that just means, even if you’re just faking your laughter, your mind processes it as a happy thing. It’s a bit silly at the start but we were thankful afterwards.

We learned a lot from his 1 hour session and will try to practice what he taught when we all get home. It was truly a different experience doing Laughter Yoga. In fact, all of us were amazed that after the session, we were all tired but at the same time felt relaxed and happy. If he can share that experience to everyone, we’ll all be happy living our lives. Also, he also encouraged us to visit and buy products from the prisons who makes beaded stuff for their living. It will give them hope and make them happy as well.

After the Laughter Yoga session, the head of Nestle (I forgot his name sorry) introduced the newest commercial of Nestle Fruit Yogurt with Jelly commercial. After which, we were given ample time to freshen up and relax a bit before having our merienda session! Yess!! Hahahaha.

They served chicken pasta, fried dumplings, croissant and tacos. And of course, with eat all you can Nestle Fruit Yogurt with Jelly. As of the moment, they only have 2 flavors, Strawberry and Buko. They will be making more flavors in the future. I want their Mango flavored yogurt. Hopefully it’s next in line.

After eating, we were asked to think of a Portmanteau. It was a new word for me that day, it is combining two words into one and make a new word out of it. It’s like Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie = Brangelina, Jelly + Delicious = Jellicious, something like that. You can’t have your photo taken in their photo booth if you don’t have one. Hahaha! The best Portmanteau will have a prize. The winner was the one who combined JELLY + INCREDIBLES = INJELLIBLES. ^_^

They also have one area there where you can Like the Facebook page of Nestle Fruit Yogurt. There are a number of laptops there and you just have to sign in to your Facebook accounts and like their page.

As for my Portmanteau, i combined YOGURT + YUMMY = YOMMY and Andrew thought of JELLY + YOGURT = JELLYGURT. Hahaha! Because of that, we had our pictures taken in their photobooth! Yehey!!!

It was a fun day for all of us especially me. I get to know fellow bloggers and I met Jane Chua of Between Bites in person. I told Andrew the moment we went inside the room that I knew the girl wearing blue. I read her blog too. I also met other bloggers too like Valerie of Surrel Princess and Maureen Flores of Sugar Free Sweet Moments.

After the event, I approached Mike to have a picture with him too. I will share it with my friends and they will agree that he looks like my friend. Hehe! (^_^)v

As our finale, we all got our souvenirs from Nestle! Andrew and I got a bucket full of Nestle Yogurt!!! Yommy!! ^_^ Andrew did enjoy his time too! He loved the Yogurt too and intends to eat ONLY Yogurt forever. Hahaha! ^_^

And now, I’m excited to get an invite again from Nuffnang. Thanks to Denise Cua, from Nuffnang Team! Keep it up!!! Good Job! ^_^
