Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said President Benigno Simeon Aquino III has signed Proclamation 26, declaring September 10 as a non-working holiday as Muslims celebrate the “Eid ul-Fitr,” or the festivities for the end of Ramadan.
“Eid” is an Arabic word meaning “festivity” while “Fiṭr” means “to purify.” The holiday is thus a symbol of purification after completing the fasting month.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. The Ramadan began on … [ Continue reading September 10, 2010 – Non-Working Holiday ]

Have you ever tried flying AirAsia? Honestly, I haven’t tried one but my mom and her friend booked a flight since there are April Promos and much cheaper than the other airlines. The catch is, their airport is located only in Clark, Pampanga. So in short, they have to leave Manila hours before their flight since they would be traveling roughly 2-3hrs going to Clark.

2. Happy Chinese New Year
This is the longest and most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. I think due … [ Continue reading Happy Day! ]

This year, I’ve experienced a one of a kind New Year’s celebration. We were under the Harbour Bridge and overlooking the Sydney Opera House in Australia!
Australia’s celebration is unique, they gather in nearby spots of the Harbour bridge to see the fireworks. Unlike in the Philippines, we all have our own display of fireworks that leads to too much pollution everywhere in the country. I think it’s a good idea to just have some key points where fireworks will be displayed so that we can help save Mother Nature.
Going back, they had this … [ Continue reading Welcome 2010! ]

This is my first time to celebrate Christmas out of the country and away from my family and loved ones (though I am with my mom and half of my extended family) and it’s kinda exciting and at the same time somehow sad because Christmas in the Philippines is really happier compared to all countries in the world.
Nevertheless, I still managed to enjoy the Christmas season here in Australia. I will tell you how my Christmas been here in Sydney, Australia.
