DBS Recognition Day 2012

Last March 2012, I was invited by Don Bosco School, Sta. Mesa to be the guest speaker who will give an Inspirational Message to the undergrads. I was surprised but didn’t felt nervous at that time since I’m at home in that school. The only struggle was the composition of the talk. Even though I blog at my leisure time, I always have a hard time composing formal articles, worst Speeches. So it really took some time. My former teacher followed up 2x for the speech so I had no choice but to make time and sit … [ Continue reading DBS Recognition Day 2012 ]

Happy Easter 2012

Today, we celebrate one of the biggest celebrations in the Church, Easter Sunday!

Easter marks the end of the 40-day Lent, that means the sacrifices we did for the Lenten Season has come to an end. The Lord has finally risen and we are rejoicing for his resurrection. As we continue our normal routine in life, may we always remember God’s love for us, giving his only son to free us from sin.

Let us all be merry and happy for the Lord has risen from the dead!!! He is truly the son of God. … [ Continue reading Happy Easter 2012 ]

Lenten Season 2012

The Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten Season. Roman Catholics go to mass today as this is a day of obligation. This also means that this is the first day of 40 days of fasting or giving up certain types of luxury as a form of repentance. It is the season dedicated in a special way to fasting, prayer, and almsgiving.

Most of the Catholics know that ashes are used to remind us that we all started from ashes and to ashes we … [ Continue reading Lenten Season 2012 ]

2nd Filipino Saint: Saint Pedro Calungsod

I just saw this news in my timeline via Erika Canlas and I wanted to re-post it in my blog. I can still remember the time we did a “short play” about him when I was in Highschool. If I remembered it right, I did play the role of Blessed Pedro Calungsod back then. Hahaha! I was in an all-girls school so no choice but to do a man role.

article from Rappler.com:  Vatican approves Visayan’s sainthood

YOUTH MODEL. Blessed Pedro Calungsod, seen in this artist's rendition, is seen as a model for … [ Continue reading 2nd Filipino Saint: Saint Pedro Calungsod ]

Kung Hei Fat Choi 2012

dragon

Today marks the start of the Chinese New Year 2012. It’s the year of the Dragon. I’m not a Chinese but sometimes I read horoscopes for fun. Let’s see what’s in store for me for the rest of the year.

First off, let’s learn more about the Dragon. According to the Chinese Zodiac, it occupies the 5th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Dragon is the mightiest of the signs. It is also the only mythological creature in the Chinese zodiac. Dragons prefer to live by their own rules and if left on their own, are usually successful. They’re … [ Continue reading Kung Hei Fat Choi 2012 ]

2011 Highlights: FMA Alumni Homecoming – Detailed Version

The other day, I was so disappointed because I thought I lost my pictures, since I remembered the application Recuva by Piriform, I was able to recover deleted images from my memory card. Now, Here’s the detailed version of last year’s alumni homecoming.

It started with a prayer by one of the faculty members and welcoming introduction by our all time favorite hosts: Aiza Pagkalinawan and Apple Recaña.

Our theme for the night was “X Marks the Spot”. It automatically makes one think of a treasure map that … [ Continue reading 2011 Highlights: FMA Alumni Homecoming – Detailed Version ]
