Our last day was spent only in the city, meaning nearby places because we’re bound to Manila in the late afternoon. We don’t want to risk being left by the plane so we just roamed around the city.
We had our Sunday mass in San Pedro Cathedral Church which is the nearest church from our place. It was also the city’s oldest church.
San Pedro Cathedral, Davao
Davao City’s oldest church named after San Pedro, the patron saint of Davao. The church was built in the year 1847 during the Spanish period led by Don Jose Uyanguren, … [ Continue reading 2011 December Travel: Davao – Day 4: City Tour ]

Paradise Island is very proud of its humble beginnings. What started out as a weekend picnic destination back in the seventies, catering mostly to friends and their families has become what it is today as not only the preferred island getaway for families but is also the byword for those growing impulsive groups who are so busy and yet wise enough to squeeze – in leisure in their hectic schedules at the spur of the moment…. – Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort

This is a long overdue post but I’d like to share my last travel in 2011. Did I already mention that this was my boyfriend’s family trip? Yes, I was also invited to join the fun and adventure.
To start off, we flew in to Davao night time of December 1. So basically our first day would technically be our first night. We lodged in Oroderm Beauty Hotel on their dorm style room where they can accommodate 10pax. However, beds are in double decks and the room area is a little small. This kind of accommodation suits … [ Continue reading 2011 December Travel: Davao – Day 2: Adventure and Tour ]

Since Tuesdays are meant for travelling posts, I’m sharing one of the essential “gadgets” you need when exploring the world. This can help you take good photos of you and your friends as well as situations when you need to tip toe to be able to get a peek of what’s happening. Well, this would help me a lot though considering my height. Hahaha!
Recently I purchased my very first Monopod from Monopod Manila. I’ve been seeing posts by Patty Laurel about this awesome gadget. Little did I know, it was her bff Alessandra Lanot’s … [ Continue reading Monopod Manila ]

Our last day was spent within the city of Laoag. We just maximized our stay and roam around the city.
Here’s what we did on our last day.
1. La Preciousa
We first had our lunch in one of the famous restaurants that serves authentic Ilocano dishes. We were so excited because we wanted to have Bagnet for lunch! Hahaha! We had the following dishes for lunch.
Hhigadu Php 160 Our version of bopis, perfect for sumptous meal
This tastes better than what we had in Continue reading 2011 November Travel: Ilocos Day 4 – Laoag ]

We left Pagudpud before lunch so we can still roam around Laoag. Again we thought of riding an air conditioned bus or van but we failed. The only available transportation is an ordinary bus. It costs Php 180/pax and good thing the Northern part of the Philippines is not that polluted so being in an ordinary bus is not that bad.
Since we had a bad experience with local tricycle drivers who charge us more than the normal fare, we asked the bus driver for directions for … [ Continue reading 2011 November Travel: Ilocos Day 3 – Paoay and Batac ]

A full day of touring Northern and Southern Ilocos. We hired a tour guide for Php 1000, good for 3 persons. However, since he’s using a tricycle it is recommended that you bring a cap and long sleeves for the person who would be sitting at the back of the driver. It’s a long ride and the heat of the sun might burn your skin.
check out the plate number! it's the reverse of our Vigan's kalesa plate number!
We visited around 7 places in one day. See the places we’ve been to in chronological order.

After last year’s All Saint’s Day, we headed to the North for some adventure! This was my 2nd time to be in Ilocos and my first was 9 years ago. So this is pretty exciting for me too.

We rode the bus in Aurora Blvd, Partas around 9.30pm and started to depart Manila by 10:00pm. The bus fare was Php 685 each.

We arrived early morning in Vigan so we had our breakfast in one of the carinderias beside the Bell tower. Actually, we didn’t know that it … [ Continue reading 2011 November Travel: Ilocos Day 1 – Vigan ]

The Philippine’s Department of Tourism came up with a wonderful campaign of promoting our country. This has been trending for quite some time now and it’s fun to participate. The original brand was “It’s More Fun In The Philippines“.

And I created one too from scratch. Later, I knew that there is this facebook app called More Fun Meme Maker to produce a picture with the caption either on top or bottom. Oh well, it looks the same way to me. For those who want to create their own More … [ Continue reading It’s More Fun In The Philippines ]

After 3 years, I’m back in Davao, Philippines together with Andrew’s family. Actually, it was their family outing and all “loved ones” are included so I’m in! Hahaha! This was my last adventure in the year 2011. ^_^
